Today’s Favorite Photo – Cushions

Cushions

Sometimes great photos can be spontaneous. One morning I woke up early to go out and take some pictures in my back yard. While I was returning to my house, I noticed these seat cushions stacked up to avoid moisture. I am not quite sure why, but I had the impulse to take a shot. I was excited to see that the image looked promising, so I took a few more. After breakfast, I started up my computer and fell to editing. I converted it to a monochrome image to emphasize the textures and tones. To help add contrast I did some dodging and burning. This just goes to show that sometimes images come without needing to search. After some time it may come to the point where your eyes see something long before you brain ever realizes that there is an interesting composition to be had.
